Radnja filma Paranormal Activity 2 dešava se ranije od događaja jedinice, te pratimo dva tjedna "lude” zabave jedne obitelji koju postepeno počinje posjećivati nekakav entitet. Špranca je praktički ista kao u jedinici, ovdje su malo pojačali "realne scene” sa montiranjem niza sigurnosnih kamera po kući (nakon "upada lopova”), pa u kombinaciji sa first person snimanjem, kojim se najčešće bavi kćerka teenagerica kroz kojih sedam različitih kadrova pratimo misterioznu prisutnost.
